We Don’t Write Every Story We Carry.
It is time to explore the scripts that aren’t yours - and author what’s next.

Some of your story was handed down through family rules, old expectations, and the quiet ways you learned to keep the peace or keep score. Other chapters you wrote yourself. These stories shape how you love, how you argue, and how you talk to yourself when nobody is listening.
The work is not about erasing your story or becoming someone entirely new. It is about looking closely at the narrative to recognize which parts are truly yours, and deciding what comes next.
What if the story that kept you safe is now keeping you stuck?
That part is still unwritten.
Therapy Designed Around Your Story
Your story is unique, and therapy should be too.
Courtney works with couples and individuals who are ready to better understand the patterns shaping their relationships, identity, and emotional lives. Whether you are coming in on your own or with a partner, the work is collaborative, thoughtful, and shaped around your specific needs, goals, and experiences.
Gottman and Premarital Couples Therapy
For partners stuck having the same fight, drifting into roommates, or preparing for marriage. Combining Gottman structure, attachment depth, parts work, and somatic nervous system tracking, we look directly at the stories and patterns in your relationship and move you to shared authorship.
Burnout, Midlife Transitions, & Identity Individual Therapy
For adults who notice the same old loop repeating across jobs, relationships, & cities, but feel a deep pull toward something different. Together, we explore the roles & expectations you picked up along the way, helping you close the chapters that no longer fit & author a life that feels genuinely your own.
Therapy for Teen Girls and Young Women
For teen girls and young women navigating school pressure, social noise, and identity shifts, and who are longing to build a life and voice that are genuinely their own. In a grounded, zero-performance space, we unpack outside expectations, process big feelings, and build foundational self-trust so you can forge your own path while staying connected to the people who matter.
We look at the full story, not just the symptoms
There is a version of therapy where the clinician stays neutral. nods politely, and hands you a worksheet at the end. That is not what happens here.
I pay attention to the underlying pattern more than the isolated incident. What happened last Tuesday matters less than the repetitive loop you keep returning to. My job is to listen deeply and actively. Then to help assemble the scattered puzzle pieces and explicitly name the dynamics in the room. These include the pieces a part of you would rather I left alone.
Life doesn’t come with a manual, and I don't force you into a one-size-fits-all formula. When analyzing and overthinking stop working, I help you recognize the story you’re carrying and move out of the analytical spin into tangible, grounded connection. In the room, I use Level 3 Gottman tools to de-escalate gridlock, IFS parts work to honor the protective parts that keep you safe, and somatic tracking to release physical tension. At the root, I integrate attachment theory and psychodynamic depth to explore the scripts running beneath the surface. We tailor the work to the story you are living.
Most people arrive able to name the feeling but not the pattern underneath it. Therapy is where you slow down long enough to look at the stories you are carrying, and then decide what you want to do with them.
Spot the story running the show, instead of getting lost in the reaction
Release the physical tension and survival stress stored in your body
Rebuild self-trust and trust your own read on things again
Say the hard thing and stay regulated while you say it
Move through a big change without it feeling like you’re in freefall
Take the pen back, and author the chapters ahead
Meet Courtney Quattrini, LMFT
Courtney Quattrini is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT 157969) providing therapy for couples and individuals in the San Francisco Bay Area and online throughout California.
Her work is grounded in the belief that stories have immense power — the stories we inherit, the stories we repeat, the stories we tell ourselves, and the stories we're ready to understand in a new way.
Before becoming a therapist, Courtney spent years working in communication, storytelling, and executive coaching. That background continues to shape the way she supports clients in listening more closely to themselves and each other.
Together, you can explore and unpack your own beautiful, sometimes messy, unique life story, so you can begin becoming the author of the part that is still unwritten.
